Getting Started
What is GougCash?
GougCash is a closed-loop real-time digital wallet and internal banking platform built for a private user community. It allows internal wallet funding, peer-to-peer transfers, payment requests, transaction history, and real-time notifications within the platform environment.
How do I create a GougCash wallet?
Wallet onboarding follows two steps. First, create your account using email and password or Google authentication, then complete email verification. After that, proceed to wallet creation and provide your transaction PIN, identity details, date of birth, ID details, and security answer.
What is my User ID?
Your User ID is your wallet account number. It is a unique 12–13 digit numeric identifier generated by the platform during wallet creation, and it is used for wallet access, transfers, and payment requests.
Can I create more than one wallet?
No. Returning users do not create a wallet again. After your wallet has already been created, you simply log in and continue using your existing account.
Funding Your Wallet
What options do I have to fund my wallet?
You have two wallet funding options. The first is P2P funding, where another GougCash user transfers funds directly to your wallet after you give them cash. The second is funding request submission (FRS), where you create a wallet funding request using a supported source such as PayPal, Stripe card, manual funding, bank transfer, or fixed asset, then upload proof for admin verification before the amount is credited to your wallet.
What is P2P funding? How does it work?
P2P funding is an alternative way of funding a GougCash wallet through another user’s wallet. In this arrangement, a user who wants GougCash gives cash to another GougCash user, and that other user then sends the equivalent amount through a normal P2P transfer inside the platform. Once the transfer is completed, the receiver’s wallet is funded instantly in the same way as any other internal transfer. This is especially useful when a new or existing user wants to add money to their wallet without using the external funding request process.
How can I fund my wallet with FRS?
You can submit a wallet funding request from your account using one of the supported sources: PayPal, Stripe card, manual, bank transfer, or fixed asset. You must provide the amount, optional external reference, and proof of funding upload.
Why do I need to upload proof of funding?
External top-ups are manually reviewed by an admin before they are credited. Your uploaded image or PDF proof helps the admin verify the request.
Can I submit multiple funding requests at once?
No. You can only have one pending funding request at a time. You must wait for the current request to be processed, rejected, credited, or canceled before submitting another one.
What happens after I submit a funding request?
Your request moves through the funding workflow statuses: pending, verified, rejected, credited, or canceled. You can track these statuses from your funding page.
What should I do if my funding request is rejected?
You can review the rejection note, correct the details, and resubmit again, or create a fresh request later once no request is pending.
Cash withdrawals
What is P2P cash withdrawal?
P2P cash withdrawal is the process of converting GougCash wallet funds into physical cash through another user. A user who wants to withdraw cash must find another user who needs GougCash. The withdrawing user sends the agreed amount through a P2P transfer, and in return receives cash directly from that person. Since GougCash is a closed-loop wallet system and does not support direct external withdrawals to bank cards, PayPal, or other outside channels, this P2P method is the only available way to withdraw cash from a GougCash wallet.
Can I withdraw money from GougCash back to PayPal or my bank card?
No. GougCash is a closed-loop system. External funding can be added after admin verification, but funds cannot be withdrawn back to PayPal, debit cards, or other outside funding methods.
Transfers and Payment Orders
How do wallet-to-wallet transfers work?
You can send money directly to another user inside GougCash using their User ID or eligible account details. Transfers happen in real time after backend validation and PIN confirmation.
Is there a transfer fee?
Yes. A transfer fee is charged to the sender on P2P transfers. The default fee is 1%, and it is applied on the backend using the current platform settings.
What is a payment order?
A payment order is a payment request sent from one user to another for a specific amount. The recipient can approve or decline it. If approved, the payment is processed like a regular transfer and the applicable fee is charged.
How many pending payment requests can I send?
You can have at most three pending outgoing payment requests at one time. Also, you can only have one pending request at a time to the same target user.
Do payment requests expire?
Yes. Pending payment orders older than seven days are automatically expired.
Vault Earnings
What is the GougCash Vault?
The GougCash Vault is a savings feature inside your wallet that lets you move money from your main wallet balance into a separate vault balance for saving purposes.
Can I move money between my main wallet and my vault?
Yes. You can move money from your main wallet into your vault, and you can also move money back from your vault into your main wallet, provided your vault is not currently locked.
What happens when I lock my vault?
When you lock your vault, you commit the current vault balance for a selected period. During that lock period, the locked vault funds cannot be freely moved back into your main wallet until the vault matures or you unlock early with PIN confirmation.
Can I use locked vault money for transfers or payments?
No. Money locked in the vault is not treated as your live spendable wallet balance. To use those funds for transfers or other wallet activity, the vault must first be unlocked and the funds moved back into your main wallet.
Do vault earnings have a fixed interest rate?
No. Vault earnings are not fixed or guaranteed. They depend on overall system performance and applicable platform conditions during the relevant reward period.
When do I receive vault earnings?
If your commitment completes successfully, any eligible vault earning is credited when the vault matures and is unlocked by the platform. After that, the vault stops earning until you choose to lock it again.
Can I unlock my vault before the selected period ends?
Yes. Early unlock is available with PIN confirmation. However, unlocking before maturity may affect your eligibility for vault earnings and may also apply an early exit penalty where applicable.
Will I still receive vault earnings if I break my commitment early?
No. If you unlock your vault before the commitment period is completed, you should not expect to receive vault earnings for that broken commitment.
What is the early exit penalty?
The early exit penalty is a platform-controlled charge that may apply when a vault is unlocked before maturity. The applicable rate may change over time according to current platform settings.
What happens after my vault matures?
Once the vault matures, it becomes unlocked and stops earning. You can then keep the funds in the vault, move them back into your main wallet, or lock the vault again for a new saving cycle.
Can I lock the vault again after maturity?
Yes. After maturity, you may choose to start a new vault commitment again, subject to the options available in your dashboard at that time.
Statements and Notifications
Where can I see my recent transactions?
You can use the Mini Statement page to view your 10 most recent transactions in a message-style history format. For a larger date range, use the Custom Statement page.
Can I download my statement?
Yes. The Custom Statement page lets you generate a printable statement for a selected period and export or print it in A4 landscape format.
Is there a limit to the custom statement period?
Yes. A custom statement can cover up to the past five months at most.
Will vault activity appear in my account history?
Yes. Relevant vault actions such as vault funding movements, unlock actions, and other important vault-related updates may appear in your account history and notifications where applicable.
What kind of notifications will I receive?
You may receive alerts for incoming transfers, outgoing transfer updates, payment requests, funding request updates, vault-related actions, security actions, and other important wallet activity.
Can I mark notifications as read?
Yes. Opening a notification to view its full details marks it as read inside your notification inbox.
Profile and Security
Which profile details can I update myself?
You can update your phone number, date of birth, national ID or passport number, and ID country from your profile page, one detail at a time.
Can I change my name or email address myself?
No. First name, last name, and email are protected for platform integrity. If you need these changed, contact support@gougcash.com with valid proof of identity.
How do I change my password or transaction PIN?
Use the Security page in your account. Password changes require your current password. PIN changes require your current PIN. Security answer changes require your current security answer.
How do I recover my PIN if I forget it?
Use the PIN Recovery page. You must correctly answer the security question and provide your account password before you can create a new 5-digit PIN.
Is the security answer case-sensitive?
No. The security answer check is case-insensitive during PIN recovery, as long as the letters match.
Account Access and Support
What happens if my wallet is frozen or restricted?
You may still be able to access some pages and review information, but transaction-related actions such as transfers or approvals may be blocked until the restriction is removed.
Do balances and notifications update in real time?
Yes. GougCash is designed for real-time synchronization of wallet balances, transaction history, and alerts.
Can I delete or close my account from the dashboard?
You can access account-related settings and request actions from inside your user area where supported, but final handling may depend on platform review and admin controls.
Who reviews funding requests and manages protected actions?
Authorized admins review funding proofs, manage platform settings, and handle protected operational actions according to platform permissions and audit controls.
